Hewitsons’ Senior Solicitor joins to grow Private Client practice
Leading regional law firm, Howes Percival, has further expanded its range of services with the appointment of Litigation Partner, Michael Green and Private Client specialist, Amy Wallhead as an Associate Solicitor.
The new appointments follow hot on the heels of Employment Law Partner, Matthew Potter and Corporate and Commercial Solicitor Venetia Phipps who joined Howes Percival’s Cambridge Office earlier this year.
Michael Green – Litigation Partner
Michael joins Howes Percival from Weightmans’ London office where he headed the Disputes Team in London and was National Head of Restructuring/Insolvency.
Michael has over 20 years’ experience of dealing with large complex commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on company/shareholder disputes, warranty claims, partnership advice, restraint of trade, technology claims, contract disputes, contentious probate and insolvency. He has experience working with the retail, leisure, manufacturing, technology and financial and professional services sectors.
Michael is a full member of the Association for Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) which specialises in contentious trust and probate work. He also sits as a part-time Judge on the South East Circuit and as a Chancery Judge in London.
Amy Wallhead – Associate Solicitor, Private Client
Amy advises on all aspects of non-contentious private client work including powers of attorney, estate administration, trusts, wills and estate planning and Court of Protection matters. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). She is a Dementia Friends Champion and regularly holds Dementia Friends sessions. She is also an active member of the Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire Dementia Action Alliances. Amy was previously a senior Solicitor at Hewitsons LLP.

Howes Percival entered the Cambridge legal market in early 2015 with a new commercial property team, headed up by Jonathan Greenhalgh, previously a partner in the city with Birketts. Jonathan has led the expansion of the team since, including the move to new, larger offices in Terrington House, on Hills Road in 2016. The move followed the acquisition of part of Taylor Vinters’ real estate team and a period of sustained growth resulting from a high level of new instructions.
