MAW Comms founder Gordon Maw joined Sir Alan Sugar, Greg Dyke and Ultimo lingerie creator Michelle Mone on stage as a speaker at a major event at Duxford near Cambridge recently.
The event; Destination Growth, which attracted over 800 business leaders from across the East of England, is now established as one of the largest business conferences in the region. Gordon Maw teamed up with the Eastern Daily Press Business Editor Paul Hill to host a sold-out seminar entitled 'Profile in the Press'.
Gordon outlined the ten most effective ways to profit from PR while Paul provided a fascinating insight into the way the media works and how best to build relationships with journalists.
Gordon Maw commented: "Alan Sugar certainly grabbed the headlines with his TV news outburst but I thought the whole event was exceptional. Knowing our seminar was sold-out was a fantastic boost and a timely reminder of just how much business leaders value PR help and media insight. Networking under the wing of Concorde was certainly an experience and we met some amazing business leaders who were well and truly fired up by the day."
